Miss Linda Havins

Welcome!  I am excited to work with the Humanities and World History students at Shepton this year. Shepton opened in 1984 and I was here.  This will be my 41st year at SHS and my 46th year teaching.  Over the years, I have loved teaching US History, Geography and World History along with a few other subjects.  Along with World History, I co-teach Humanities, which is a two year course for gifted students who receive their Pre-Ap English I and AP World History credit.  I have a passion for history and hope to inspire my students with a love to know where we came from so we can know where we are going!  When not at Shepton, I love to travel and have been fortunate to adventure to Canada, England, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Colombia, Kenya, Honduras, and Malawi.  I also love to read and spend time with family and friends.
