I am excited to teach American Sign Language (ASL) and to share my love of language, communication, and Deaf culture with my students. As a Plano West graduate, returning to the district as an educator has been especially meaningful. My own journey with ASL began as a student, and that experience continues to shape the way I approach teaching today.

In my classroom, students are encouraged to communicate, take risks, ask questions, and discover the culture and community surrounding the language they are learning. I love helping students build confidence in their communication while developing greater empathy, curiosity, and appreciation for different perspectives. Before becoming a classroom teacher, I also had the opportunity to tutor collegiate ASL students at both Collin College and Southern Methodist University, experiences that strengthened my passion for mentoring and teaching.

I hold an associate degree in Sign Language Interpretation and Translation from Collin College, a bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Strategic Communication from Southern Methodist University, and a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy mentoring, volunteering, reading, baking, and staying involved in the Deaf community. I am grateful to teach a language that has played such an important role in my life and hope to inspire that same curiosity, confidence, and appreciation in my students.
